Our Mission

ViTALS's mission is to provide high-quality diagnostic services to veterinarians, animal owners, researchers, and state and federal agencies. Our qualified laboratory staff reliably performs all tests and evaluations in accordance with established policies and procedures in order to provide quality veterinary diagnostic services.

    The Virginia Animal Diagnostics newsletter is a joint quarterly publication between the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and ViTALS. The Virginia Regional Animal Health Laboratory System and ViTALS are veterinary diagnostic laboratories located in the state of Virginia. The mission of these laboratories is to provide accurate, high-quality, and timely veterinary diagnostic services to maintain the health and well-being of production and companion animals.
